MP3 shares by Recovering addicts
If you only see a few you could register (top right of this page) to reveal the rest.
It was agreed at Region that the, as yet, unratified shares could be accessed by registered users, but we are looking for feedback from you as to whether you think they should be ratified.
PLEASE REPLY TO THIS TOPIC TO VOLUNTEER FOR THE SHARE REVIEW COMMITTEE (Two years cleantime and working knowledge of the Steps & Traditions essential)
Every month or so we shall create topics where you can discuss the pros and cons of the various recordings. Below are the guidelines to take into consideration:
UK Share Review Guidelines:
When reviewing MP3s, members should remember that the shares may be heard by people from outside the fellowship, e.g. drug workers, probation officers, etc.
Members should ask themselves if the shares are within the principles of the Traditions.
Does the speaker carry an NA message?
Do they use NA language, not that of other fellowships or treatment facilities?
Do they endorse or make reference to outside organisations, treatment facilities, counsellors etc?
Do they mention others by name?
Is the language used acceptable ie free from discrimination or derogatory remarks?
Is the level of swearing (if any) acceptable?
Is it pertinent to practising the 12 steps?
Is the recording quality acceptable and complete?
Do they share personal experiences or tell us how to recover?
Members should either accept or reject each MP3 and post their decision in the relevant topic.
